As far as my luck goes, I have no real complaints about Paccar motors. Aside from the cam recall they had to do, I have had little trouble out of it. Mine pulls better than most of the DD13 Detroits...if I ever come up on a mega's Cascadia that is similar in road speed, I usually wait until I get to a hill and just walk around them like I was a super trucker. I have 173k on the clock, and other than the cam and regular oil changes (and an overhead with the last oil change) it's been as reliable as any of these new EPA approved engines...much more reliable than the old Maxxfarce. I have never driven the new DD## Detroits, but the Jake isn't bad, so comparing them in that area I can't comment on. It isn't up to the ISX level, but it does the job, and gets better fuel mileage than any of the ISX's I have driven.

Tony started a drivers group on Facebook (I guess there is already one, but I don't know... this one is brand new and for current, active drivers only). He posted that Ashley and Magnum separated on mutual ground, as she has been pursuing a career change. He also said the rumor about the Jennie-O load is simply not true. Just FYI if anyone isn't in that group. Go request membership! Tony is the admin and requests go through him.

Just called in to request a trip permit for New Mexico. Was told I had to buy my way across at the port. This ain't gonna be cheap because it's based mileage. You can't go much further just passing thru. I will be going from the southeast corner to the northwest corner.

That sucks. Company should take care of it up front. I refuse to lend a company money.

They will give me a tcheck for it. You can only prepay a trip in $50 increments so I can see why they do it.
