Haven't talked to y'all since the wknd. I am currently in Osceola, IA, gotta a 2300 delivery in KCMO, then headed down to Tulsa to pick up and head back up to the Chitown area for a Sunday delivery.

It's been far to long between my runs to the coast and I'm looking forward to it...even if it does try and snow in the mountains!

Staying at what I'm just gonna call my favorite truck stop now. It's the Shell in Christiana, TN on I-24 ex89. Amazing cheesesteaks, fries, lemonade and shakes. Everything here is fresh. Not to mention the parking lot is nicely and recently paved. I picked up in Atlanta and headed to Sturdevant, WI. I think it should be possible to find parking at that giant Petro before 5:30pm. Ok it's not really a giant petro, but it's an above average sized truck stop.

I don't know if I'm slow or what, but only now am I really starting to catch on to where things are at by memory. Everything is mostly a blur to me. At some specific customers I'm starting to memorize where there is parking as soon as I get the load offer. Like oh I know there is a Loves right there. I'm slowly committing things to memory!

 

Just wait till you've been running the lanes for 5 years or so...this job makes the country really seem small lol.

 

I love their cheesesteaks! That ts is what Pilots SHOULD be like. I bet you they buy it, and turn it into a dump, just like 99% of their other crapholes.

 

That Petro has the 2nd best donuts in the country, 2nd only to the Clearwater MN Petro II.

 

The Clearwater Petro is one of my favorite stops. Their rice sausage and blueberry french toast w blueberry syrup is just flat out too good to be true. I keep trying to talk my friend into going there, but he's a Love's guy, since he cashes in his points for endless hot dogs and Carl's Jr. Frankly, I don't understand how he doesn't have a colostomy. LOL
