Right that's what I told the shop, going to try and get to a dealer tomorrow or Saturday before I head back south. Scheduled to be in Dallas for home time late next week for GATS.

Hahahaha!! I have a Home Depot 5 gallon bucket and 8 gallon trash bags...
For those just in case moments.... but it's just a garbage can most of the time!

A 5 gallon orange Igloo cooler works wonders when "incognito" is important!

We used a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket with a trash bag and sliced one of those pool noodles to sit around the top the bucket to use as a cushion

My A/C quit on me today, too. Called Paul & he suggested banging on the A/C relay in the fusebox on the firewall (2017 model). Tried that to no avail. Paul was not having any luck getting me in to a dealer before Monday, and I was really starting to sweat it (literally & figuratively). I stopped again and after banging on the relay again, I pulled it out - along with every fuse I thought had anything to do with the A/C - and put them all back in. Voilà! Everything's cool again!

Most of the modern hvac systems are controlled by an ecm...sometimes you just gotta do a reboot. My KW does that from time to time when it's raining...only mine goes full blast fan with max heat. Must be a PACCAR family glitch.

Now that you mention it.... The touch-screen display never came on when I started the truck - at the same time the ac quit. I killed the engine while sitting at a red light. After restarting, the screen came back on, but not the ac. When the ac DID start working again, it was after i'd had the engine off 10-15 minutes. That may have been what solved it rather than my tinkering with the fusebox.

My trailer just got to the yard. Gonna snooze and take off early toward tn. Thought the reefer might bother me since it's been awhile since I had one on me. Nope...no prob and I'll like it drowning out the other noise that I'd normally hear. I'll be rolling to get around Twin Cities before fun and games there and then take it easy. Don't worry...I'll be calling people especially on the PeopleNet. First time using that. C'ya!
