    My Magnum truck was the same way. I didn't idle until it got close to 0, and that was simply to keep the unheated parts of the fuel system from gelling.

    You know my truck is owner opererator spec except it doesn’t have an APU and I don’t mind it nearly as much as I thought I would. The Cummins is a bit noisely when I do have to idle, but you get past that fairly quickly, it’s not like a Carrier is wailing behind my back wall :).

    Of course I don’t pay for the fuel lol...
