Anyone out in the extreme cold, just a heads up, refrigerated attire is a solid investment.

    Extreme Softshell Jacket

We have dock workers wearing these in the extreme cold with amazing reviews. One guy said he was literally sweating because it kept him too warm.

    WesternPlains and Zata40 Thank this.

1500 on the pressure cooker part. It has a slow cooker setting (only 1 temperature setting) that draws less. I have one, but only use it once in a while because it steams up the cab real bad, then if it's cold outside, the inside of the windows ice over before morning.

My wife regularly cooks in the truck and the foggy window interior thing became really annoying. Especially when it freezes! But these settings do the trick to prevent that part. I just leave it like this over night.

I never had an issue running mine but dont remember the watt on our inverter.

I know Im an odd ball, but I dont do coats/jackets with hoods. If its bad, I have a balaclava that does wonders, and a beanie that is military fleece/spandex from Duluth trading co that handles the harshest conditions. But that jacket I linked also comes in HiVis. Probably ideal for anyone who wants it or a flat bed guy. They also have the bibs in HiVis.

When it's bad, I've done hooded parka, bibs, facemask, silk longjohns, wool socks, sorrel boots, choppers, and chem heat packs for the hands and feet.

Ah, the joys of minnesota winters...

Whats your thoughts on sorel boots? Do they hold up well? I need some snow stompers. My new boss is going to give me ice cleats. Thinking the two would make me invincible. My employer takes care of us so well.
