Hey drivers, hate to butt in but I'm interested in buying one of the off lease maverick trucks at the FL dealer in NLR. I have a few questions that some of you might be able to answer.
1. Fuel mileage while loaded?
2. Empty fuel mileage?
3. Average overall fuel mileage?
4. Does anyone know what the bobtail truck weighs?
5. Will the battery EPU system keep you cool for 10 hours in summer heat?
6. How long does it take to recharge the EPU if your still parked just idling?
7. How do you like all of the camera monitors? I see a LOT of monitors in the ads. Looks like they're over done?
Any ongoing mechanical problems that you know of?
I drove for Maverick back in 06-07. I always liked their trucks and specs, so I'm thinking I may try one of the 2020s or later.
Thanks!
Maverick's trucks.

Newer maverick trucks (20s i know) have the opti-idle.
They epu will cool cab and when batteries get so low, have the opti idle set and the truck will start and run for a bit and charge batteries then shut truck down, kinda like a reefer.
Takes some getting used too.Arky Thanks this. -
Thanks, I actually like that setup. I hope to not actually use it much anyway. But that would help keep the idle hours off the engine.

Probably irrelevant information now, but my first truck as an owner operator was an ex CFI , T2000, 2001 model.
Well maintained at 900k, served me well. -
1. Loaded with what? Loaded to 80k? You'd be lucky to get 7.
2. 9 or so
3. About 8 but it depends what you haul.
4. Depends on how its equipped but most weigh about 18K
5. No. I had a battery APU and at full power for AC it ran about 4 hours before it was dead
6. Depends on how good your batteries are. Usually about 2 hoursArky Thanks this.
