i can't buy a load to FL or GA right now. I'm trying to get down there to pick up the truck. So far no good
You need to raise your prices a little LOL. But it's good to stay on an agents good side. It will pay off.

Houston isn't bad at all if you live there. I visit my GF there and by the time I leave I pull a great load. Board position works wonders and if your not trying to get out the same day.....

well first of all each persons operation is different. some of the rates Mercer quotes their O/O flat out sucks. They claim that they are competeing ....but the real story is that they are re-brokering loads....which actually leaves the driver with less. Much less.

There is always someone who knows absolutely everything about Mercer! It's even better when they have never leased on here, because they are talking out their ###!!!! If they were leased on here and they have a bunch of negative comments it's because they simply don't know how to use the Internet/run a business/manage money/have people skills/know how to work/ I can go all day!
But if @MOGLAR wants to troll....by all means go for it! It will be very entertaining!Razorwyr, whoopNride and Al. Roper Thank this. -
Actually not a troll. Sorry to dissapoint. I am also not a Mercer fanboi. I am an O/O also. Just so happened I loaded and pulled the same load as a mercer driver I met at the job site. My load paid $950.00 more than his. It was the exact same load! Needless to say he was furious and called his broker. The Mercer driver wanted to know how, what and why. Well he never got s straight answer. I had no answer to give. The only explanation I could give is that was "his percentage." I am familiar with all the broker games be it Mercer, Landstar and the others. They all fish from the same pond and double dip where they can. The driver gets what he gets and has no idea where the trail of bread crumbs actaully start. When flatbed loads taper off and companies throttle back because inventories have been bought for the year....there is no "system." Its basically being at the right place at the right time. I have seen drivers rot in Texas and Oklahoma one minute......and up to their eyeballs in frieght when they want it the next. Its feast or famine. SPending time at home while camping for a load......cant blame you there. I would too. PS sorry for the spelling
running smooth Thanks this.
