Well so figured out who stole my binders... it was in VA at the pilot. driver is lucky I didn't see you cuz I would bet your ### would be fired..
Anyway headed to AL -
Going to get a level one the day before I go into Lousiville for inspection to make sure.....and to insure the crooked Mercer inspectors don't try to feed me to the Knowles truck repairs that camp on their lot. Amazing how a large portion of the drivers pass on the road when mercer location inspections are done on the road......but nearly everyone fails in Louisville for some mundane reason. Met a driver yesterday (12000) in the truck number series somewhere. Mercer said he had 3 leaky trailer hubs. Mercer tried to make him fix it on the lot and wanted him to use the Knowles truck repair. The driver left and went to a utility dealer and had the trailer wheels fully inspected. There was nothing wrong!!!
Basically the driver said the only time Mercer finds stuff wrong (makes up ####) is when he goes to Lousiville. Now grant it some trucks might have items wrong sometimes.......BUT more often they make up stuff to feed their repair shop buddies.
The driver stated that he will get his truck inspected for his yearly on the road so he doesn't have to get raped in Lousiville.Klleetrucking Thanks this. -

Let me explain further. The driver indicated that he was told he was "out of Service" and there was a red repair truck on the lot that could do the repairs. The driver further indicated that he could not leave .... I am assuming mercer property and go somewhere else. The driver did leave and had the trailer checked elsewhere. The trailer dealer certified that there was nothing wrong. Let me explain this came from a driver I don't even really know that well. The issue is that I have heard this story.....and actually witnessed this scam in person to get drivers to use their buddies in the red truck.
I don't doubt that they do have POS trucks run through and have issues. The icing on the cake was when a driver went through a d passes a level 1 in Kentucky the same exact day he went to Mercer and got his inspection. An inspection where they said his hubs were leaking. Same story this other driver claimed. After they tried to pull that inspection scam on the driver he left and refused to lease on because they tried to scam him.
Mercer is in bed with that repair company plain and simple. I even heard that several complaints have been filed with the KY attorney general's office.
Just pointing out the facts that drivers need to be fully aware and up to date on the condition of their equipment before proceeding to the Mercer inspection bay. For that matter I don't doubt that other carriers do the same thing at their home terminal. People are out to make a buck off drivers any way they can. It's dog eat dog and don't think for one second these company inspectors and repair trucks are not in bed with each other.
If I have a legit issue or a screw up I have no problem opening up my wallet to fix it......but I will not be scammed.duddie Thanks this. -
Prove it. Until then you are just another idiot making #### up. The same guy at every carrier that always had these outrageous claims but stays leased on.
The rest of us, that don't just run our mouths off would have one of these things happen once, and the door signs works be pulled off. Lots of good carriers out here. If any one of these things was true a good operator could be leased to another carrier in three days.Highway Sailor, roshea, shortcut and 1 other person Thank this. -
