Show the new company your tax returns and pay stubs and if possible print copy your Elogs.

Do what I did once....roll up to the new employer in your current employers truck and apply in person. LOL. Is that a option?

Kind of correct. FMCSA states that employment verification must be attempted at least by the new employer. It does not however, mean that they actually have to contact them. They just have to attempt to.
There is a list that, by law, the old employer is obliged to give the new employer. Drug test, wrecks, employment dates are some of them I know of. There are a few more that I'd have to look up to double check.

As for the op. If it is a mega you can do a Google search for something like " mega employment verification ".
For example Swift has a dedicated web page and phone number specifically for employment verification that new employers may call to get the information that is legally required.

One of my sons left a company who wouldn't verified his employment. He submitted his BOL's and his paycheck stubs. It worked.

The new company also said they would of accepted his W2's or tax return.

You have pay stubs don’t you? There you go. Put where you worked on the app for the new company you’re applying to and they’ll verify. If old company doesn’t play ball, show your new company the pay stubs to prove you worked there.

You should print off copies of your logs as proof. I know that company drivers can no longer deduct per diem or un-reimbursed employee expenses off of their taxes but if I was running on Elogs I would be downloading and saving mine anyway.

When I swapped to Landstar, my previous employer, Gulf States Intermodal made them wait the 30 days allowed by law.

They kept trying to get me to stay.
Stayed with LS for a while, then got own authority, LS didn’t make waves and sent it within 2-3 hours
