Good luck hope you got in! I’ve been here almost a year now and it’s great. The miles are there and my average haul is well over 1,000 miles. Trucks are equipped well and replaced every 3 years. They treat you like family and everyone is super nice. If you want a great and true OTR company and run all 48 states even as a solo driver this is the place to be.

I started around end of last month and so far it’s been great. Total night & day different from that “blue company” just down the street. They still have all the good long freight they had when I was under their dispatch before the “split” and they really take care of the equipment. Dispatch pretty much leaves the driver alone unless something comes up, and there’s no micromanaging. I’m still kicking myself for not coming here sooner.

And I heard the trucks are pretty much driver comforts?

They have the park smart apu’s, dorm fridge(the big 4 foot tall one) factory inverter with shore power, and smart tv if the driver wants that. They take pretty good care of their stuff, and the crew does a great job of cleaning them up.,

The weird part is the with the time I spent working at Great Plains between the “split” and when I left there seems to be a blur… like I woke up from something even though it was almost 9 years that I last worked under holland’s dispatch and freight base…. basically as if I’m picking back up where I left off. That was the advantage I felt coming to this company because they still have a lot of the same people in the office and same otr running.

Oh that's a game changer...I like my Tripak Diesel fired APU with artic package and 120 amp alternator. It's not limited like park smart apu’s...thanks for the reply though.

Gpt ran tri paks for a while… didn’t mind the one I had but the Espar heater sucked..

I know both gpt and holland ran carriers but the newest generations of them constantly broke down. So those got the heave-ho in favor of the park smart.

    What are they paying now?

    Also, are they forced NYC?

I don’t think they bother with nyc. Starting pay could be in the 50 - 60 range to start, not including bonuses which will boast it higher. After 90 days they’ll review and there’s annual reviews & bonuses. 48 state otr, and they definitely have the freight & miles.
