I came to this thread late, but here is my 2 cents. Since you referenced TNT, it can only be a handful of companies, all of which prohibit sleeping on the top bunk while the truck is in motion. I realize you are probably apprehensive about speaking up to you DM or Training Manager, if you tell them what you posted and ask for a new trainer, you will find yourself routed to the terminal and a new mentor assigned. Getting through training is stressful enough, if you feel unsafe, find a safe place and shut it down. If you mentor/trainer yells, so be it, why risk it? I would not worry about seeing him/her in the future, you need to take care of you, don't worry about them.

As usual suspect said, if, as I assume the O/P is with Prime, sleeping on top bunk while in motion is strictly prohibited and they certainly cover that in the training for both students and instructors.

I'm a trainer. The guy with you is NOT a trainer. For starters, you would NEVER take the wheel of my truck unless I'm in the passenger seat watching every move you make. Second, yelling and cussing at a STUDENT while they're driving is not only unprofessional, it's EXTREMELY dangerous.

You need to DEMAND a new trainer or quit.

Get a different trainer. I was with my trainer a few days a he wanted me to drive faster then my comfort level. His truck is nasty and stinks. I told no and he kept pushing me to drive fast and told him no that's it and it didn't go so well. I told the company and I'm getting a new trainer.

Personally, I'd be more concerned if he was saying homosexual things, living so close with him in the truck.

So would you be concerned being on a truck with a female or do you think it is just homosexual males that would attack you to satisfy their sexual needs? It astonishes me how so many people think homosexual males must be attracted to them, thus concerned for their safety or whatever. Rather narcissistic to be honest.

Yes, I would be concerned if I were teaming with a female. I bet my wife would be really concerned.

No, I wouldn't want to team with a homosexual.
