Most d###s but prime is just a bull #### company
HorseShoe Thanks this. -
Some are butt holes some are professionals and some are professional butt holes, over all they have a decent training program and one of the if not the highest paying starter companies, are there better companies to work for ? Of course there is but very few of those better companies are taking guys without so much as a permit like prime will
Poacher Thanks this. -
I got booted from the program before I got in with an instructor. But I met two while I was there. Both of them were
really nice. Seemed very professional to me. One had even agreed to do take me on his truck.
Im sure it is like anything else you get good ones and you get bad ones. -

It's a crap shoot no matter where you go. I know this is not the answer you want to hear, but you simply are not going to find a trainer carrier who has a 100% "great trainer network". As in the rest of life's experiences, there's good and bad in everything.
That said, there may be carriers (perhaps Prime is one) who may go to every possible exten to keep their trainers and training program professional, and other carriers perhaps just don't care. But regardless, I still stand by my earlier comment as a whole. -
I'm a driver at Prime. It is as others have said. The trainer you get is a gamble. That being said, the majority of trainers that I spoke with, both PSD and TNT, seemed very personable. Though keep in mind a trainer isn't graded on how easy it is to have a conversation with them.
I had two trainers. One during the PSD phase, and one during TNT. My first trainer was a lease/op. We got along extremely well, and he was very thorough in what needed to be covered for my CDL test. I feel he went above and beyond what most trainers did for their students. I never had to spend a dollar out of my pocket for food. He was one of those trainers who you wanted to make proud.
My second trainer was another story. Company driver. Middle-aged mormon immigrant who had been a driver for two years. He had good intentions, but his teaching style was grating, and he seemed less inclined to want to teach when we were on a tight schedule. Personality-wise, we were on separate ends of the spectrum, and I hated every minute in that truck. That being said, I stuck it out, and it made upgrading to solo all the more rewarding.
My advice, if you find a PSD trainer you like, try to convince him to take you all the way through TNT. Above all, remember that the training phase is not permanent. Learn what you can, bite your tongue, and make the most of it. Once you go solo, you never have to speak to your trainer again, if you so choose. -

The Dr's at Prime wouldn't let me pass with a waiver.
This explains all of it.
