It doesnt. What it does solve is getting on the road and making his appointment time instead of fiddling with that piece of crap.

    Intriguing enough for you?

The OP is asking a legitimate question relating to a very rare occurrence. I don't recall the OP saying he was dead in the water waiting for his GPS to work. Why does everybody have to bring snarky attitude to the thread?

What attitude? The op asked a legitimate question. I gave him the only answer that I know. It is an honest answer and a fair point.

It is not my fault if you, him, or others go into a meltdown cause of my answer. That is on you all.

Sounds like a case of RFI or MI, these are terms for different types of interference. My suggestion to you is, look around for anything that has a magnet in it that is close to the unit such as a speaker. It could be the trucks electrical system such as a RFI filter capacitor taking a dump and allowing pure crap power entering the system. Try turning off everything in the cab that is not needed. If that works, start turning the stuff back on till you find the culprit. When I was a dealer tech, this was my job(electrical systems). If it works outside ok then to me it is clearly a RFI problem.

That is incorrect. Other GPS units, dash cams, FM transmitters, tire monitoring systems, anti collision systems, and a wiring harness for a anti collision system. The question being. Did this just start or have you added anything new?

That story reminds me of the Long Island, N.Y. bridge that is marked 12ft10in but you can actually drive a 13ft6in reefer under it.

The company might have there GPS on the truck were abouts in the dash right where you put your GPS or maybe your to close to your CB.. my GPS has done this be for in a 2015 freightlinner. So I move the CB and use a different ground wire.. try it and see

Not even remotely. He asked for help with a problem and you and many others offer a solution...that does not address the problem he asked about.

I suppose reading that atlas will also solve his Qualcomm issues too.

    Blackshack46 Thanks this.

It will allow him to get back on the road to finish his load. He already said his company will fix it once he finishes the load.

Instead of fiddeling with it he should be sleeping, then rolling out, then getting the thing fixed and he would have his piece of crap gps back.
