It's a fine line, I sometimes give out my number. Have to be in good standing regular customer that respects OFF DUTY.

In my case, my number has been given out to anyone and everyone that wants it. I've gotten to a point where I block one number after another if I don't know it. Also let my voicemail fill up so nobody else can leave a message.

It's probably going to be counterproductive at some point. Especially when someone important needs to get a hold of me for something that is not work related. Going to use the burn number idea. It seems to make the most sense at this point .

Have you heard of Google Opinion Rewards? It links directly to your Google Play account . They do random two or three question surveys based on places you have visited in the past and it pays out credit for the play store. Gonna use it to pay for the Burner app subscription.

Not sure if anyone else uses it besides me but it is legit if you use a Android phone .

I use my personal phone to call customers, but my company doesn't give our numbers out. Regards if s customer called me back I typically don't answer or just hang up if it's not my wife or mom. I'm not much of a phone user.

Everything Google does is a trade. You will give up your privacy to earn those bucks. Some don't care, I happen to. EDIT: An example from today

You could also buy the cheapest prepaid phone at Wally or off Craigslist, give that number to your company as the new number and let the minimum-purchase minutes run out. Either way I'd likely change my primary number if it wasn't a lot of trouble.

While I was finding a job with a company not run by alpha hotels.

Other apps, including free...6 ways to turn one phone into two phones

My dispatch used to give my number to customers. I started giving the pita customers the owners and dispatchers home numbers. Their wives were not amused.

Long story short: summer 2017 Congested area of Pittsburgh.
Called police to tow ""abandoned"" vehicle from in front my dumpster
    Police show
    Wrecker shows removes car.
Owner is at the opposite end alley of me.
On phone with dispatch, can hear the car owner on speaker demanding for my phone number. ( police told him which company called it in )
I'm in visible site of car owner.
owner never looks at big truck down the other end.
Wait for car owner to leave and everyone else.
    Picked my dumpster,

People are stupid, glad he was stupid, big fella with gold chains ( white dude ) :)

Bad ice in Ohio last night. One bridge on I-71 at exit 169 near Mansfield caused an ABF to flip his rear pup on the northbound side AND a FedEx Freight to lose and flip his rear pup and dolly on the southbound side. This stuff sucks; I want my mommy.

Come out the southwest where it's cold but dry.

Do linehaul guys use the trolley handle to line em up when they get unsettled? I rode with a FxG driver who did that. on a slick road to pull 'em in.
