Salaried you as well? I'd actually would consider putting up with it if they paid me $60k a year. I actually enjoy my job. Super laid back and low stress. I just can't justify 10-17 hours of unpaid OT each week and being capped off at $42k a year. It doesn't make sense to me

Midnight out. It’s a night shift but it’s a schedule.

that's actually not bad, should miss the morning rush hour (s) coming back. and home early enough to do things (banking, doctor appointments, etc) and still get your 8 hours (hahahahaha) of sleep in

Yeah, plenty of time. If it’s a smooth night 4.25 each way. .5 for break. Few minutes for drop and hook. Few stops here and there if I don’t have to nap. Should be back around 9-10am especially trucks being turned up to 68mph. Yup, no traffic and at that time of night I’ll have my bid truck or a choice of extras. No traffic leaving either.

    Mike2633 and Fuelinmyveins Thank this.

yep, it's not a bad time at all

and if the weather goes to crap (can we say that?) they will shut down the roads long before midnight, you'll get cancelled without getting stuck

although wamsutter is a pit among pits

    so it's not all gravy

Comes with living here. Did it for years at Reddaway. Anything trucking heads up there unless your local city driver type. But generally those jobs don’t pay well. Doesn’t matter what LTL company linehaul you go to here in Denver you’ll end up in wamsutter.

    LoneCowboy and Mike2633 Thank this.

Been driving a 48 with a single axle since my old truck was getting work done. A double axle 53 is beyond annoying to back now

Shaggy, Mike2633 and Fuelinmyveins Thank this.
