Dude, get your doc involved, have a plan in writing about how you are going to treat this, and get a diet plan that causes you to lose weight. You need to drop at least 50 pounds.
it is a pia with these examiners, they don’t always follow the same guidelines and act like god sent them to make you healthy.
Until you the weight and get the a1c around 6, I would hold off on the trucking thing.

Glad to hear you are on your way down. I too was overweight after nearly ten years in this job so I went to a nearly zero carbohydrate diet mostly of meat, eggs, and bacon. No processed food whatsoever. And I am able to cook all this food on my truck, no more eating out at truck stops anymore. Over a two and a half year period I now wear 32 inch jeans, never snore, perfect cardio health, and can pass a two year physical without the doctor even flinching. I never even take a single pill or med of any kind.
tscottme, Deere hunter, TripleSix and 2 others Thank this. -
Age ?
Do you ever get blood work done? -
-
Will be 50 soon and never had bloodwork done as I do not bother with doctors or any medical people. My last physical though had my blood pressure at 110 over 71. It has never been that good in all my life.tscottme, Deere hunter, TripleSix and 1 other person Thank this.

I was on metformin twice a day a sliding scale shot with every meal and a shot at night type 2. Mine was a lifestyle issue not hereditary. I saw a nutritionist. I quit smoking and got my diet right. Haven’t been on any medication in over 3 years now. I was always in shape though. See a Dr and request a nutritionist and follow the plan.

Not eating will also run your sugar high.
hope not dumb twucker and 77fib77 Thank this. -
What do you mean by that? Fasting cannot raise your blood sugar. It is by snacking every couple hours that keeps your blood sugar topped off. Then when insulin is released to deal with that blood sugar, it causes your sugar level to dip below normal, which gives the urge to eat again, starting the process all over.
If your body is used to burning fat instead of carbohydrates, you can stop this blood sugar rollercoaster that causes one to constantly eat. When your body is adapted to fat burning, you will have a stable blood sugar level all throughout the day, even if you were to go several days without eating anything. I just did a 51 hour fast, having finally eaten just a couple hours ago. -
You can reverse type 2 diabetes just by changing what you eat. No sugar or carbohydrates, you don’t have cut them out 100% but you meet to cut most of them out. It’s not just you, me and everyone usually eat to much sugar and carbohydrates because the put in in everything. Sugar is crazy how much they put in everything
hope not dumb twucker and silverspur Thank this.
