I've had that happen too, but a full quarter or more before you can even turn it by hand is just being a prick.

My theory is they were planning me out at 70 miles per hour in an effort to get me to sign up for a new AMT. t will be interesting if the planning settles down to do-able loads from now on.

Here is the maintenance schedule sheet they gave me yesterday.

They even get anyone out to you to solve the issue? They made me go fix one at 7 the night before Thanksgiving. I should of taken the smart money and went in the next day. But I was never one to screw a driver over either. JCT on the other hand I have no problem doing so, since that's pretty much how they like to play.

Holiday weekend Friday when I got the truck. They said they had to inspect the old truck, inspect the new truck, this is where they were going to fix things. Meanwhile i had a load offer and decided to go ahead and run it out the gate, we can fix the APU later. It is just hopefully needing a fuel prime so it can start.

Hold apu on off button. It's an over ride. No more than 10/15 second crank. No more than 3 times. Give it a rest after those 3 start tries. For about 10 minutes.

I tried it earlier but it didn't start. I will try again later and film it so you can see the actual screen.

Well guys, a New Year is upon us.
2016 is now nothing but a memory. I'm sure some will say that they hope 2017 will be as good as 2016.......others will say that they hope 2017 will be better than 2016. Whether it was due to the trucking industry or personal lives, we will all have our own reasons for 2017 being the same or better than the previous year.

Me, personally, I hope is a much better year.....for personal reasons.

2016 was just plain awful to me and my family. Between the family members that ended up in the hospital (wife twice, daughter once, sister in law once, mother in law 3x, extended family countless times) and the unfortunate passing of loved ones, I can only hope 2017 will be better. I honestly don't know if I can continue to hold my head up for another repeat year on that front.

As far as the trucking world goes, it was a decent year. I bought a brand new 2017 Cascadia w/ DT 12 tranny and am very happy with that. My fuel economy for the 1st 50k from ECM download was at 8.01 MPG. By the end of the year, I'm hoping to see closer to 9+ MPG. Truck will be broken in and we only have a few more months of that awful winter blend diesel.
Fuel prices starting increasing at the end of 2016, which is a huge plus. Hoping the fuel surcharge will go up another 10¢ or more. Then maybe I can go back to Europe for 2 months instead of just 1 month. :)

My wife, who had been on the truck for the past 5 years as a passenger, got off the road in November to address her medical issues that would have been impossible on the road. On the positive, she found a full time job within 2 weeks. Now maybe I can take even more time off. LOL

The company I'm contracted to has been very good to me. Took all the time off I wanted (and then some due to the above hospitalizations). Freight has been steady and consistent. The staff are super wonderful and very accommodating.

Made some great new friends out on the road and further developed existing relationships, both personal and professional.
I've learned a lot more than I thought I would and was able to help some lease operators become more successful with their business thru the mentoring program we have.

So, in closing, I wish ALL drivers out there, independents, company, lease, and prospective Notre drivers a prosperous New Year and hope all your goals are achieved.

    Best to you and yours
