I found the case I'm going to use for my pc build. It's an old non working orginal Xbox I found on eBay for $22 with free shipping. I'm going to gut it and modify the case to build my computer. I plan to rewire two of the controller ports internally to usb that way I can still use the orginal controllers. The other two are going to be replaced with front USB ports. Unfortunately there isn't a good working Xbox emulator yet. It's going to be lots of work, but it will be fun.

Bite the bullet ,replace both steers . Never just buy one new steer ; just creates another problem.

Depends if they give you a decent casing price on the old steers. I would try the used steer tire thing first with a mind to change them out pretty soon. Then store your used steers in storage, (free write off if you keep tires and chains, tools etc, in there). Someday if you get your own trailer, used steer tires make great trailer tires.

Well I wasn't going to buy 1 new. I was thinking about finding a used that matched my other steer that doesn't have odd wear and decent tread still. See if I could get the most miles out of them before putting on brand new rubber.

I would opt for the spare and then when closer to winter, slap on a new set.

Oh, it very much effects the trucking companies.

Wal Mart is driving out their in efficiencies and putting them on the shipper. The shipper doesn't want to get dinged for a late so they're having the trucking companies pick up early. Even on drop and hooks, they want the trailers out and not tying up their real estate with trailers.

The end result is the trucking companies become rolling warehouses and drivers sit on loads.

Already seeing it. Preplans with must pick by on d/h and and do not deliver before appointment time.

Probably less of an issue on the reefer side. But, it's playing havoc on the dry van. Wal Mart loads used to be a no brainer. Now you have to be darn sure of the delivery window.
