This is the question i have in response to that statement. Who cares?

    Let me explain.....
Do companies do this? I'm sure some/ most/ all do. If there is a load that pays what your minimum or more is, what difference does it make? Say there is a load going 1000 miles as and the original rate was $4/ mile. By the time you see it on the in-house board, its now $1.85/ mile. Should that bother me? Nope. It's a freaking $1.85/ mile and i can choose to run it or not.

We'll never know the true original rate and it shouldn't matter. So long as you're pulling loads that are paying you what you want, that's all that matters.

I almost (i say this because as i double checked the pick up window, i realised i couldn't be there until 3 hours after close of window) booked a load going 202 miles, paying a tad over $600 (2.98/ mile) . With my dead head of approx 65 miles, that would have been a total rate of $2.25/ mile. That's $600 for less than half a day's work. What do i care of the company keeps $3000 of the total load pay. I'm still making great revenue on that load.

Too many people get hung up on what a company keeps. Worry about your business and its profits. If you spend time worrying about something you can't control, you're taking away from your own business and time running it.

Btw, @scottied67 , i didn't mean "who cares " what you say, i meant, who cares about those type of statements in general.

Is anyone else noticing if you look at the EFS card control app that it's showing weird pricing only for Flying J's now? Like it's showing the price of fuel for Vega Texas is $2 312. But the price on the sign for cash is $2.48. it's showing the price in Tucumcari is $2.358 meanwhile across the street the loves has it at $2.62 which I'm sure is closer to the real price.

Is the card control app accidentally showing us the actual pricing JCT pays? It's doing this at every Flying J along the I-40 in Oklahoma where it's actually much lower than the sign pricing.

They only want pristine drivers. As if their reputation deserves it.

Why are the undersides of JB Hunt trailers painted orange? So when they tip over they look like Schneider.
