After I sent the message it was overweight for California, they basically just said "stand by" and I knew night dispatch wouldn't be able to make a decision so I went to bed. This morning tons of messages coming in asking how many holes past 40 feet to make it legal. I say, 41'6" and they just kept hammering me on how many holes is that lol. Then they tell me 3 holes past 40 is good to go for California.

I said, not true, I got hammered in Cali one time for $4600 bucks trying to do that. Anyway they said set it for 41-6 and roll. Just swapped with another driver here in Cali. I just did my walk around on the swap trailer it is 3 hole past the red painted hole lol .

As far as drivers sitting, at the Tolleson yard is a newer lease op whose been sitting there for a couple days. Nice guy but green as heck. He was at Swift for a few months and heard JCT pays $0.90 cents a mile and signed up. It wasn't til he was in orientation that he discovered he had to pay the truck payment out of the $0.9 + fsc.

Never heard of Cali allowing 41'6 on the tandems.

As far that new driver. Sounds like someone didn't do his homework before jumping in. Nobody to blame but himself.

So the reefer I saw earlier today that was loaded and was shut down cuz of no fuel... Yeah that was my load...

They called JCT and said the load was ready about the same time I was walking into check on it tonight..

Then the clerk says that the load was ready since 2..

I'm thinking the load is originally ready at 2 but the paperwork wasn't done then I noticed that that trailer was down they had to take the product off and either recool it which I hope they didn't do that or put on new product which I hope they did...

So I have a feeling fighting for detentions going to be a #######...

So, we finally got power back at the house last night, but we're going to stay at this luxurious resort thru the weekend. Can't really leave Florida due to roads being shutdown because of flooding.

    MachoCyclone Thanks this.
