My other choice was to have the tech pull the tire off and take it down the road with 7 tires (and bare rim) to the Loves which I know for sure Breakdown would have no problem with. They balked at the $626 price and said (thick layers of guilt-trip) Loves or TA only charges $200 for a new tire on the national account. Yeah, maybe for a used recap.

But for mount dismount, valve stem (since they put a new one on, has to be paid anyway) tire disposal and restocking plus tax was going to cost over $100 bucks which I could be reasonably sure I would not be reimbursed for, I took the chance that I would be more likely to be reimbursed the full $626. Pleasantly surprised it was very quick and painless and guilt free from the gentleman who called me and took care of it.

I've heard that guilt trip nonsense from various companies before. I usually respond with "yeah, that much cheaper. How do YOU intend to get the trailer there instead of where I am? Are you going to fly in?"

Pretty simple: Dont ask me to do anything illegal, like moving with a flat tire and I'll continue to give you free labor by getting your tire repaced.

Heh, I swap off a Washington load to rescue a delivery to Pelham AL, get DG Foods Hazlehurst to Altus OK, and I say to myself "I bet next is Elk City...."

Preplan: Elk City to Spokane WA.

I guess they really want me up in the PNW....

    Jarhed1964 and otterinthewater Thank this.

I wish they would let me run Montana on this one. I mean Spokane is right on the border of Idaho, its riiiight there, even cuts off a few hours jumping up to the 90...

Welp....truck in the shop. 552802 miles and truck won't regen. I'm thinking that the DPF is at the end of it's life. It's been doing more regens lately. And the city horn stopped working.
