Running with JCT, Part Deux

It irritates me that larger truck stop shops don't carry windshields....

It only took 3 days for Safelite to replace mine in ID.. lol

 

I was going to do it there but it was pouring. Today used the defroster and....

 

While at a consignee a couple days ago:

Another JCT Driver: Hey, you got any extra EFS checks? I'm out and need one.

Me: Sure. Here you go. (Hands him a 3 checks)

Other Driver: Thanks. Got any more I can get? I don't get by the yard much.

Me: Nope. I'm not your personal resupply for EFS checks. Better figure something out.

Other Driver: Well.....#### you to.

Seriously....WTH!!!!! I didn't have to give them a single check. I was nice a gave 3 and they expect me to furinsh even more?

 

I'm leaving the terminal with a GRIP of checks. Checks for DAYYYYYZ. McDonalds numbers of checks. Checks like WHOA. Superman these checks....Ok I'm done...

So I made this comment to someone else outside here, but I saw another instance of it and I have to re-iterate..

I will never be able to afford to drive a Volvo. I mean, you have to buy the truck, maintenance, fuel...and then have a budget for all the Volvo flash. The multiple Volvo symbols on each side and the hood, the volvo symbol mudflaps, volvo decals on the back, with a volvo symbol on each side of it. Volvo across the visor, and Volvo symbols on the cab top. All reflective gold.

And don't get me started on the vinyl lettering of both Volvo, and every spec of the truck (horsepower, torque, year, engine type) on the fairings, on both sides....etc etc...
