Agreed. Some JCT drivers might be shocked to discover they are paid closer to 50% or less depending on time of year and the nature of their particular load, of the revenue their driving skills are generating.

Don't get me wrong, I loved my 8 years at JCT (July world have been 10), having worked with some of the friendliest people (and 2 total dicks) ever, but once I realized that I can make ahellova lot more for less work, it was time to move on.
Chasing miles totally sucks. Most JCT drivers shoot for 10,000 miles per month. I've had several months with half thai many and still made more money.

Ask yourself, what are you worth?

So glad to have former JCT drivers explain what and how I'm paid.

I really agree chasing miles suuuuuucks. 10K miles a month is actually light for me...Last quarter I did 38,195 paid. It aint fun. I'm kind of hoping this will be my last year of mile chasing though....if things go according to plan.

Whatever your next move is, it'll most likely be difficult and perhaps scary. Change is difficult, especially when you're comfortable in your current situation. It was extremely difficult for me. It was something I pondered for almost a year.
I had it made at JCT. Most of you remember that and how successful I was while I was there. Only one thing was the deciding factor... money, or rather lack of it compared to what's out there.
If and when you decide to make a move, hit me up. Maybe make the transition easier, depending of course on what your next move is.

The other day I bought a 7th Gen iPod Classic. It had been 100% refurbished and upgraded to SSD storage instead of a hard drive. I plugged into the computer when I got back to the house and found it still had over 36,000 songs on it. A wide variety of genres and time periods. Should be interesting to slowly go through the music. I most likely will just plug it into the truck radio and listen to them and decide what I want and don't. According to the stats it would take 103 days of non stop listening to play them all.
