So do you get the discount that they get ? At PFJ?

 

15 cents of it at least....added to our fuel cards when it hits our settlement..

 

They put a video out expounding the merits of the fuel route plans they offer. Said right in the video that the route plans show the cheapest fuel and best IFTA taxes for that particular route. We don't pay IFTA directly, JCT pays it so it is in their best interest for us to fuel according to the fuel route.

The Wal-Mary DC in Clarksville, Ar has had a management change. The new manager is putting boot to ### for the workers to the trucks unloaded in a timely manner. I was in and out in less than 2 hrs. He is also holding drivers to the appt times and if you show up to the gate late for appt; you are getting turned around and told to reschedule. They will no longer work you in and throw off the whole schedule. You can still check in an hour early, but no earlier.

Some drivers don't like it, but personally have no problem with it. If he/she is going to hold their people accountable for getting trucks in and out, then drivers need to show up on time.

 

I think they all need to do that. Im surprised with companies cutting cost nowadays that more of them arnt looking at their shipping and recieving and realizing how inefficient they are and not being efficient looses companies money

 

So more companies start charging walmart detention time and they start pushing to get you done faster.

 

No im talking about the companies we deliver and pick up at not the trucking companies

 

Right the trucking company's need to start charging hold time causing them to get us done faster
