JCT: freight is tight this weekend so it'll be a Monday p/u.

Me: seriously?!? Sit and get a 34 hour restart after being off a week?

JCT: well, wait. Dh to this location after del and swap with this driver. He doesn't have the hours for OTD.

Me: cool, that works 1700 mile week turns into 2600 miles. Yeah!

    (Enter 3rd party)
Wal-Mart: ya, were gonna screw you and take 6 hours to unload you.

Me: thank you...May I have another please? Please use lube this time.

Dh to location for swap. Arrive at 3 a.m.

JCT: swap cancelled. Sit until Monday

Me: at least spit or something b4 insertion

JCT: get this load on Monday. Total DH 600 miles. Loaded miles 991.Load weight 7140 lbs (according to JCT info)

Me: ok, not so bad. 2300 miles and most of it almost no weight.

What will 2moro hold for this driver? Will he get screwed again? Will load cancel? Tune in 2moro to find out.

Yeah I'm sitting 36 hours for a 239 mile load. Maybe I should have taken 3 weeks off lol

    Meanwhile, back at the ranch....

Me: *dozing in the recliner at terminal*

Tech: hey...they found slices in all four drive tires they need to be replaced..

    Me: are you kidding me!?!?

Tech: ha just kidding. Also we have an apu radiator in stock so you won't have to go elsewhere or wait until Tuesday.

    Me: yay!

Me: *inner thoughts* its going too smooth...what's going to screw me....

I'm enjoying my 2200 mile deadhead. Well, might as well be with only 7800lbs (4 pallets) in the box. Over 950 miles since fill up and still have half a tank.

crxdc and Steel Tiger Thank this.

So this load I was upset about isn't so bad. It was only 7400 lbs/ 4 pallets. Plus instead of getting loaded Monday at noon, I'm already loaded and rolling.

    MachoCyclone Thanks this.

I took a 34 in the middle of the week and told the planner I wanted to roll all weekend loaded. He got me a load that delivered Saturday noon. So I knew chances were bad for another load this weekend. Empty call sent in, No Preplan was the reply.

Not sitting around there stewing in the hot sun, deadheaded over the state line couple hundred miles to have some fun. Then wake up to messages, "why are you in another state?"

I'm so used to going where I want, when I want and doing whatever I want when I don't have a load--
