I'm gonna be totally honest with you. If they don't term your contact, I'd be very surprised and you would be a hellava lucky man. -

JCT will usually put up with a lot of crap, but late loads is definitely not one of the things they tolerate.
Macro 1 is crucial. If you think you will even be remotely late, you put a big fat N for OTD.

Why? Especially the over sleeping one.
The unmagic box has a built in alarm. Just remember to adjust for the time zone(it goes on CT. Make sure its set right), don't forget to tick the "Active" box and set it a couple of minutes ahead of when you want to be up. It will auto awaken and sound the alarm.

No every time I start to escape this black hole, I get sucked back in. 1st it was due to a delayed pickup in Colton, so I couldent make OTD so I got swapped in Gallup to go back to the Bay Area. Then I pulled a load out that had WAY too much time on it from Lemmore, and swapped in Holbrook with a team that needed to get back to Oklahoma and sent back to Stockton, then after delivering that today, a team broke down at the truck stop across the street in Ripon, so I rescued their load and took it to Lathrop. Now I'm picking up in Gonzales and Santa Maria, but it has TONS of time on it, so I'll probably get swapped but hopefully a little further east.
However, even with 2500 miles, I'm still pulling down an average net settlement due to fuel purchasing. (Theres a stop here at 2.33 on the 99.) Plus the fuel economy. Im netting over 1K. So I should stop #####ing but I HAAAAATE California with a passion that borders on the erotic.CannonballAA and MachoCyclone Thank this. -
Funny thing...when I pulled back into Barstow later that day on the way out...his truck never moved. Or he parked it in the exact same spot the exact same way...I dunno.
I couldent find the alarm on the new Qualcomms. I've been using my radio though. Since I leave the clock set at central, when I stop, I just set the alarm 9.25 or 9.5 hours, because I'm addicted to snooze for some reason. Just have to leave the acc on on the truck. You can turn on what radio station and volume you want for the music, then turn the radio OFF. When it goes off in the morning, it beeps and plays the last station at wahtever volume you had it at. Short press on the volume control gets you 11 min I think, long press disables. -
Speaking of late loads, I think that's why my miles dropped off there for a while. I had rescued a guy's load who was late, and I was late as a result of his being late. Can never prove it, but I think DM's and planners punish drivers for that with low miles. Since I have been tracking on time for over two months that seems to be forgiven. Picking up in Salinas tonite, going all the way to Florida. If they don't force me to swap it, it will be the third week in a row, 2700 miles.
