You know trucking is big money from the driver who is uneducated or even if they are educated people want there foot in door either for something of tradition like walmart or the oil field texas boom a lot ask for cdl for more options, to even CPA people to help them run there fininaces, Unions back in old days lets say my father time 50s would been okay, today they are corrupt not suggesting they won't then because the mob was always in a union some where. founder of union Jimmy hoffa he took off with a lot money he got what he deserved. Those who want a union go for it but most have no idea the risk versus the reward. The administor positions make the money the drivers don't make much they have no real power and they won't hold your hand, protect you because they don't care as long they getting a good pay check upstairs they don't see a reason help the little guy and thats how it's always gonna be unless everyone in it a former driver even then temptation is there.
Nowadays the only way it could be in favor this what my grandpa, uncles all say they all former drivers only 2 still run only way forward is help from the government but even then it's a long shot and the change maybe not desired to whats to come. One there thoughts was hourly pay for shippers I am sure people know about the lawsuits coming lets say every state get one even if no loop hole to do it buts lets say there was,and congress passed making every company pay driver hourly at shippers they won't force them change the CPM just any time they on duty they are on hourly pay. Well I am no genius but the cheapest route be hourly for all your pay, more drivers to avoid over time. Because right no companies aren't paying that like they should and theres lawsuits pending for this in certain states.
Senior drivers are tired of the BS!

A driver might have been a flatbedder for a long time and had a good record, he just needed work backing up. -
Who was union in Harrison Michigan , I am from by there.

I don't know how far WM would go but when Schneider National drivers told management that they wanted the union in at the New Milford CT yard the company promptly closed that yard down and moved operations to the Carlisle PA terminal. WM does seem dead set on resisting the union.
