And the Santa Rosa Sheriff who said in a news conference about a repeat offender they were chasing(who was shot at by a homeowner), "if someone is breaking into your house, you are welcome to shoot them, we actually prefer that because it saves taxpayers money, and to the person who shot at this individual, you are not in trouble. Please take advantage of the free gun safety course we offer every other Saturday, it'll help you aim better and hit your target".

Had a weird glitch with my Peoplenet today. Got loaded, entered my load info, (correctly) and got an error saying my reefer mode was set wrong. Double checked, and it was right. Went back and forth with ops about it being in the wrong mode, until the next shift said it was set to the wrong temp as well. I looked at the load call and it had the last 2 numbers on the trailer number I put in transposed (20 instead of 02). I corrected it (thinking my pudgy fingers tripped over themselves), but when I hit the enter key, it changed them back. I went back up, erased the whole trailer number and re-entered it, hit the enter, and it changed it again. It took 3 or 4 tries before it stopped changing it and the system accepted it.

Ended up spending a little more time at the shipper than I planned. I am picking up big vats of cream. The next to the last vat they went to load, it wasn't on the forks securely and a 4500 lb vat came off the forklift, hit the ground and broke open.(These vats are as big as those old metal framed liquid totes they use for chemicals). The guy showed me on the camera, that much cream went everywhere. They ended up moving me to a different door and to put the final vats on because they didn't want to drive thru the spill.

This time out is off to a great start!:mad: got to my pickup around 2100 after driving around finding an empty. Load was supposed to be ready by 1900. Drop empty and check in with shipping. Load canceled. No one told me. Let dispatch know, send a backup picking up Sunday here, going to Texas to deliver Tuesday afternoon. Rejected because im not sitting here for a 900mi load over 5 days basically. Tell them I can pickup tonight or first thing in the morning after my 10. Get a message back saying nothing else tonight, check back in the morning. Tell them fine, im coming out of the house, I want to run, if I don't have something decent by noon tomorrow im going back home and will check Monday morning when regular shift is in. Im 30mi from the house. Idk what the actual #### is wrong with weekends, whether its just being completely overwhelmed or genuine incompetence but im getting sick of it.
