It does too mean something...only 3 more months of hurricane season (which also signals the start of snowbird season)...

Honestly, I wish management would let us fuel at the terminals without having adult supervision. I thought Mechanicsburg had 24 hr fueling, unlike Lincoln and Lenoir. I bypassed fueling yesterday afternoon and planned on fueling this morning (the pumps were 2 trucks deep when I pulled in). Got up and moved over to the pumps and...both pumps locked down. Oh, well. I am not waiting until 6 for the shop to come in for a 1/2 tank of fuel. Yet another fuel solution request.

I parked across from the trailer roof plow statue at the end of the shop(I call it a statue because all it does is sit there like a modern day art piece). Sitting there, my truck didn't have any cell service for the Peoplenet to access. It sat there all night with the red cell bars with a slash thru it. As soon as I pulled out and around the terminal side of the shop, it reconnected.

Decided to stop by Columbus to see if they could do the trailer services. I am #2. Originally I was gonna just go to Indy for the night, but they're only open until 1930, and I was affraid, by the time I got there this afternoon, I would be too far down on the list for them get it done before quitting time, and I deliver 30 miles west of there at 8 am.

Starting to think stopping in Columbus was a bad idea. I was next at 10:30, and I am still next 4.5 hours later. The other trailer had the same writeup as mine an R1 and T1. How long does it take to do a grease job? I can see why management has to push to get services done.

I do have a short preplan. Pick up in Indy tomorrow(at a customer, not the terminal) and drop in Dickson, TN on Friday. With that long delay in CT yesterday, I figured this load was gonna be it for this week, but even with that, the preplan will get me up over 2700.

BTW, the laundry room in Columbus is open for business again. 2 new washers and 2 new dryers. I wonder how long it'll be before there is an out of order sign on one of them

I just got a text from the Mrs saying that I left a tube of superglue in my pocket and those jeans just got washed and dried.

Not long.. when the renovations got done in Lincoln the very first week a driver broke two washing machines by ripping up the lids while they were locked…

They should invent shock technology like a dog shock collar. When some yutz tries to open the lid when it's locked, they get a subtle zap on the fingers.
