Another part of my foul mood is this POS truck. The transmission isn't gonna last. I am constantly hearing it grind when it changes gears. The other day at an uphill redlight, it decided that neutral was a good option when I let off the brake and gave it some gas. Yesterday, with 42k of pork in the fridge, it kept trying to start off in 5th. Backing, it's been slipping the clutch extensively, even when you give it more throttle to get it to move. The front radar has been falsing so much I have to keep my foot on the throttle 100% of the time because it randomly sees a ghost object in it's path and trys to slam on the brakes thinking I am about to have a collision. And the side radar is just friggin nuts. Yesterday, coming off the scale at the J, there wasn't a vehicle within 150' of my truck when I was trying to make a wide arc and line up to pull into a parking spot, but the entire time it was beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep until I was in my parking spot. It will beep me fairly often when I am changing lanes when there is nothing next to me...both may end up getting adjusted with my 24 oz hammer shaped adjustment tool, right before I tell them where to shove this POS. Have I mentioned how much I hate these Freightliners lately? So, for those who have been missing my rants, I'm baaaaaack.

I'm not a fan of the 25 Freightliners. My 23 seems a lot better made, if that's possible

I'm happy to report in the 26 freightliner I don't get random phantom alerts and the side alert isn't as sensitive to everything that's not a vehicle....... we'll see if that changes as I put miles on her..... currently at 7600 miles since I picked her up....

I’ve got a 25 and I haven’t had any of those issues going on 11 months with this truck… Knock on wood zero problems to this point I’ve got 121,000 miles on this truck right now

Mine didn't do it this bad when I was 1st assigned the truck, but it has gotten progressively worse, including the stupid lane departure crap falsing. (And it may be my imagination), but I think the bleep for the idle shutdown and distance warning has gotten louder. I may go see an audiologist and have my hearing checked, and file a workers comp claim for it.

I have a 25 kw with 72k on it. Had my student driving through dallas a couple weeks back nothing in front of him and the automatic braking stopped the truck for no reason

I pitty the poor driver who is taking this Smithfield load to Springfield, Mass. The meat on that trailer is so fresh it was oinking yesterday. When I hooked up to the trailer and did my walk around, there was a puddle of blood under the back drains, and all over the ICC bumper. I bet the floor looks like a scene out of a Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Friday the 13th movie. Last time I checked, there aren't too many washouts up in that area, and it will most definitely need one.

I remember years ago when I was with shaffer a Mountainaire poultry driver showed up to Pillsbury in Boston to load and had blood all over the trailer and when the Pillsbury employee on the dock went to roll up the dock door the employee went gagging and they told him to get that #### truck the hell out of there and go get it washed… The driver was complaining there’s no nearby washouts response was they don’t care get it out of here.

If it smelled anything like the back side of that plant did yesterday, I don't blame them. My 1st driving job was a chicken plant, so I thought I had a tolerance for stench...that plant almost had me dry heaving.
