to be honest it’s not as bad as he’s saying it is… Yes, they have their issues here and there, but I’m making the best money I have ever made in a very long time… And when I had equipment issues last October with the last truck with the repeated coolant issues They took me out of the truck and put me in a brand new one without hesitation…

I have had one 3000 mile week out of the last 5.

I am on pace to make in the low $80's over my 1st year back here. That will be one of the lowest gross earnings I have had in over 5 years. In fact, even with the slow freight I was getting before leaving SPD, I was grossing more there. If it weren't for the changes that TFI made as far as the coast to coast runs, along with the loss of PC usage, I would consider going back. Plus, they have APUs, which made life a lot more comfortable. The good times are most definitely not universal here.

SSB will never be happy regardless of whatever mega he chooses next. Followed his threads for years and always the same results.

Now you say you’ve had one 3k mi week in the last 5 weeks but yet you claim to have run 12k or on pace for 12k this month.so which is it??.. sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. Yes I have my bad weeks. I’ve had my bad months here but overall I’m doing pretty darn good.

I know a place that pays 1840/week salary. Out 2 nights a week running same multi stop route 2 times a week. Its all on pallets with an electric jack. Day cabs with company paid motels for the 2 nights. I dont know what you would do with all the time off but i can give you the number if you want.

Well, if you would look at the calendar, you will notice that the last day of the month doesn't end on a Friday. I am including this load, which delivers on Monday in my monthly total of 12,100(which is how they add up quarterly miles), but it pays on the 1st pay period of next month. If I only added up the weekly miles for the 4 Friday pay periods, I would only have 11,593.

Personally, and I know you’ll disagree, but life is about perspective at times and not just your own. I think you stay out way too long, we know you’re a true OTR guy, but you speak of your wife in high regards, your children, and grand children are given that same respect as well when you talk about home life but yet you separate yourself from them for months at a time chasing that dollar, and when the way you make a dollar starts to unravel after months away, hate to say it, so do you. I’m not trying to turn this in to a therapy session, but you’re a hard worker and I think any company would be lucky to have you, but you’re just another number in their algorithm bud, you’ve got a good family that you spend months away from, your frustrations are justified, but maybe it’s time to find that better work/life balance, you can also tell me to kick rocks and I’ll be ok with that too :)

It wouldn't matter because he expects perfection in an imperfect world. And, what he calls "venting" seems more like toddlers' tantrums to me. I've never seen anyone get so spun up about the most trivial issues. Honestly, I really don't think he's cut out (mentally) for the job. Then again, I'm not sure he's cut out to work for anyone regardless of the type of work. He would find something to bee-otch about if someone gave him a hundred dollar bill. "I don't know why they folded it the way they did, it's stupid". What's puzzling is he has all of the answers, yet he's not willing to put his money where his mouth is and show us all how it should be done. I can't believe he hasn't received the Nobel prize for solving all of the world's issues.

But, God love him because he certainly keeps a lot of us entertained and, like they say, it takes all kinds.
