What I don't like is a lot of Shaffer blue can pull Crete but if I need a empty they say I can't take a empty Shaffer to the pickup just to be able to drop and hook especially if it's a customer that has both .....I think we should be able to in a pinch ...it still gets equipment moved....but what do I know?! :biggrin_25513:

I've pulled loads here that a reefer wouldn't scale legally

You're thinking Lisdexia...OCD is when you have to lock and unlock the door a bunch of times and make sure all your utensils are the exact distance apart when you set the table.

Friend, Knucklehead and Lonesome Thank this.

I am wondering, if we're non-compliant on the reefer solutions, will they pull our performance bonus?

    Friend Thanks this.

I always preferred ThermoKing, they don't sound like a darn helicopter taking off like the Carrier units did.

Lonesome, cdavis188 and mitrucker Thank this.

I parked next to a dry van one time with a rickety old Carrier unit when I drove for Magnum. He promptly moved

After many months being AWOL, it appears as if I will reappear as a semi-regular here.

Truncated version: Divorce finalized in January. Sold my truck July 1st. Haven’t worked since then because my ex and I are getting back together (after a lengthy bit of soul searching and genuinely communicating) and I needed to fulfill my apartment lease in NC. Didn’t make sense to find a job for seven weeks before I moved back to SC. Been looking for local gigs but it’s not easy at my age. Few places want to train and hire a guy they know is a short timer. I get it.

I’m going to be running SE regional for a year, two at the outside. I turn 65 on 11/30 and she is 61 but looking at retiring at 63. So 12 to 18 months is what I’m looking at. I care nothing about seeing the NE ever again in a truck. I don’t have to make a ton of money. I’m not taking my SS yet but have two other minor income sources.

So, it’s time to brush up on the happenings in the Land of Tonn and calculate what to expect. Probably starting orientation at Lenoir City November 3rd.
