I’m sure if they can save a couple hundred per head on 4-6k head per day it offsets the minimal detention charge.

Truck 49930. Technically not in the no parking but sort of in the way. I could’ve moved to the left and dropped some into tank 3 and blocked him in but I chose to be nice this early in the day.

They must still be having Issues with some of the idiots over here on these Tyson loads that aren’t making on time deliveries… They just messaged me asking me if I’m OK for on-time delivery for 6 AM Tuesday in Sumner, Washington… It’s 1500 miles.. I told them I’m gonna be sitting at the darn drop yard down the street by Monday evening…

I can honestly see why drivers DGAFF with customers like mine. I am to the point where I don't care if their freight gets there this Monday or next Monday or it could sit at a drop lot until ants carry it away.

At least you have somewhere close by and convenient to stage until your appointment time.

It makes me wonder how many drivers get dinged with service failures trying to show up at a Walmart DC within that 30 minute window they insist on only to happen across an accident leading to having to take a detour that takes a lot longer than 30 mins.

That Walmart appointment time and getting back charged for being early came up in another thread -

I can usually get within an hour or 3 - three days out on a relatively complex oversize load, but it takes some figuring, and it’s only for the convenience of all involved to estimate it - no big deal.

But a 30 minute window on Walmart appointments - a lot can go wrong just crossing the street.

I deliver to walmart dcs all the time driving for tyson and always check in 1 hr prior to my appt. Never had anyone say anything to me. Walmarts policy is 1hr before

Lol speaking of these meat plants... im supposed to be picking up in Rochelle going to Sacramento. Get to the pickup, and the trailer they loaded, they cant get the doors closed, so have to offload and reload the trailer i brought it. Should be simple, just dock the trailers next to each other and swap the product. Im sure they'll find a way to take all night!
