Gross so if the batteries start leaking you'll get a nasty stink smell in the cab not just outside it???

Peterbilt used to have solid mount passenger seats but the base was a huge storage bin with a flap door. I could get my fairly compact tool box and other miscellaneous items under there.

Our new 579’s have a stripped down air ride seat with nothing but back rest and height adjust and no arm rests. I picked one of our drivers up at a Peterbilt dealer a few weeks and I was 10:35 into my day. The two hour ride back to the yard sitting in my own passenger seat wasn’t comfortable at all but I did go home that night as opposed to spending the night two hours out.

My truck has 2 different model seats. The passenger seat is very similar to the one I had in the SPD KW (only it isn't pleather). It looks like it has that quick deflate button. And if it is a KW seat that they exchanged for the Freightliner church pew, then that usually means it has that load sensing stuff where when you get up, it automatically drops air pressure until you sit in it again(I hate that function).

I certainly wish folks would read the notes in the computer .. dispatch asked me this morning was I able to get unloaded yesterday even though dispatch yesterday responded to me when I said the customer‘s hours are 0600-1700 Monday through Friday and said they notated it in the computer and let CS know and this morning they asked me were you able to get unloaded last night..

Maybe we need management to start sending dispatch reminders every day on how to do their job instead of them reminding us how to do ours.

    Trucker61016 Thanks this.

Well I don’t see dispatch being the really the issue on this load this time but Customer service put the wrong time in the system cause the customer is not open on weekends

They should've at least noted it on there someplace so the regular shift wouldn't be trying to put you on a load that picked up before your current customer even got started.
