Ok, Shaffer has crossed the line. At 12:30 a.m. I get a phone call from Lincoln...I went into airplane mode and then I get this voicemail
![]()
I turned off airplane mode 10 min later and rolled over and went back to sleep. At 1 am, they called again and I answered it this time and went ballistic on this numbnutz. Now that I am up and pissed off, I replied to a message they sent to the Peoplenet....congradulating them for crossing the line. I have informed them that Shaffer 's number is now on my blocked call list and all communication with me will be done via Peoplenet only. And I sent a 2nd message off to Deland requesting a transfer to the Crete side of things ASAP. I have had it with these refrigerated cow tipping #### kickers. What's next, a FaceTime call when I go take a dump to make sure I wipe thoroughly?
Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

Oof. That’s an astounding level of babysitting.
ElmerFudpucker, 48Packard, ncmickey and 3 others Thank this. -
I agree. Even Schneider wasn't that bad when I drove for them
48Packard Thanks this. -
The stupid part is, I have a 9 am appointment, and I was only 5 hours away(that's as close as I could get yesterday on my 70). Why they needed me to start my day at midnight is beyond me. I left at 2 am, right on my plan, and was checking in at 7:15 (I stopped for a potty break before crossing into Jersey)...there was very lite traffic until I got to the check in line.ElmerFudpucker, Trucker61016, Lonesome and 8 others Thank this.

Shaffer's President used to work for Knight. Not sure at what position, but if this is how he is gonna run things here, maybe he should go back.
I bet Mr Aclie is rolling over in his crypt seeing how they're screwing up his companyBeHereNow97, Trucker61016, Gearjammin' Penguin and 6 others Thank this. -
The bad thing is the drivers that are the reason for them feeling they need to make wake up calls will begin to rely on the company calling them to wake them up, and it will just get worse for everyone else.
ElmerFudpucker, Trucker61016, Lonesome and 6 others Thank this. -
Plus, the more crap like this they do, the more the reliable drivers will get frustrated and leave and then more steering wheel holders get hired to take their place which will only perpetuate the cycle.ElmerFudpucker, Lonesome, O.Henry and 4 others Thank this.

On a more positive subject....Costco is probably one of the few grocery warehouses that has a system that works right most of the time. Check in, get a beeper, door assignment, unload, beeped complete, leave, and the only person you deal with is the guard shack. No lumpers, no receiving line or grumpy receivers, just pull in, unload, pull out and gone.
Trucker61016, Lonesome, Gearjammin' Penguin and 11 others Thank this. -
