That would have killed me. The three best smells in the world are baking bread, fresh brewed coffee and popcorn.

Saw some interesting clouds going down I-55 yesterday. I was expecting Dorothy on a bike or some ugly witch on her broom

I swear to God almighty that there are spoiled children running this place. Yesterday, they put me on a load that dropped anytime today or tomorrow. While getting loaded (and in a foul mood after the last week of frustration and mahem). They pplaned me on the next load that picked up this afternoon. I said no, my PTA is 7/1 0600. They took it off. Then the preplanned me on another load, out of Chicago that picked up this afternoon. I said no again, PTA is set for 7/1 at 0600...supposedly they unplanned me and reset my PTA in the system. This morning, I get a message to pu a specific trailer in Kenosha when I drop my load there. When I get there, drop my loaded trailer and find the empty...and the ICC bumper is so bent on the one side it isn't legal...I message my A/M and tell him that I have to contact breakdown on this to see where they want to get it fixed. Send in my empty call and BAM, the f'g load that picks up in Chicago get sent to me...what part of ####ing NO don't we understand? My 3 yr old grandson knows what NO means. Breakdown sent me to a trailer shop to drop because they won't get to it until Monday(actually breakdown called back while enroute and said that his manager said it has to be towed based on the pic's I sent, but I was already half way to the trailer shop, so drop it like planned). Told dispatch when I was leaving for the shop that I would be dropping this trailer and needed to know if they wanted me back at the Kenosha customer to pu the other trailer there, or go someplace else. But either way, I am done for the day after this and they need to remove the load since I have said NO to it twice. An hour and a half later, I am still waiting on Lincoln...what is the purpose of a PTA if they don't pay any attention to it anyway...I am starting to have that 4 letter 'H' word creep into my vocabulary when I talk about Shaffer with people who ask if I like it here (and I am not talking about the synonym for Hades)...

Just sounds like more mega fleet follies. Hopefully they’ll figure it out eventually.

I've been following SSB for a long time too. The guy has an amazing sense of humor that always brightens my day. His rants always include a lighthearted element. Over the years, he's also posted tons of great tips & tricks that have helped me. Keep up the good work.
