Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

Well, another day, another Peoplenet issue. We all were supposed to get an update or two, one of which was supposed fix some bugs in the system. It just so happens, I had stopped to take a shower when they sent it. When I came back out, not only does my ELD app have a pretty red triangle with an exclamation point, but my home screen has one of it's own. And, the stupid thing waited until I was just getting to where I was stopping for the day, with minutes left on my 70(and in drive time) to inform me that it was gonna reboot and install the updates it downloaded. I managed to get to the status screen and go off duty before the 1st reboot. It did several reboots, and the triangle is still there, so I did a shutdown then restart...and the whole #### unit froze. I ended up having to hold the power button in for 10 seconds before it sbut down. Even the reset button in the back wouldn't restart it. I thought about rebooting it with my steel toe boots, but the way my luck goes, I would either miss and catch it above the steel toe, or I would kick it too hard and have it bounce off someone elses truck.

 

The letters PTA mean absolutely nothing to these people. After the last brew-haha the other day, and my eruption, I set my PTA for Sunday morning. I need time to cool down and evaluate my future here. My A/M called this morning to verify that I was going to make my 4 am deadline, and verifying that I was taking some time off to reset and regroup...he got the feeling that I still wasn't in the best of moods. Then, this afternoon, a preplan that picks up tomorrow with a 3 stop delivery...and he was shocked when I said no...that's twice this week my PTA has been totally ignored...it's all I can do not to deadhead home after I deliver in the morning...I wonder if they'd get the hint then.

 

I have had the red triangle on my log before, but never on the home page. My ELD has been regularly disconnecting from my truck at random...it did it 4x yesterday. But I didn't have the triangles until after they started their 'update' this morning.
