First 2 full week checks on Shaffer side. Seem to be making slightly more than when I ran on the Walmart dedicated.
Time will tell if it stays strong. Next load after this salt lake city delivery, is a 1800 mile run down to Houston. It's from a JBS meat plant and the last one I went to took over 30 hours past the preload date to be ready. Here's hoping this one is ready when they say it is.
JoeyJunk, BeHereNow97, Speed_Drums and 4 others Thank this. -
Well, I was wondering what they were gonna give me out of Maine...turns out, we deliver and pick up at the same customer. I delivered my load without issues this morning, but, I have to wait until tomorrow to pick up. Checked with shipping, they said the load won't be ready until tomorrow, but I was welcome to stay there, or I was allowed to drop my trailer and bobtail out for my break. Since there wasn't restrooms available, and the customer says no idling, I chose to drop and come back in the morning. I can live with having to wait until tomorrow for my load. I am just grateful there was something to haul back out of that part of the country. I spoke to a husband/wife team. They're one of the drivers that were the test drivers for the new style KW...they live in that area and said that they actually use to pick up rolled paper in a reefer out of that area...I didn't know any paper mills would load roll stock in a reefer. Anyway, my load is going to Ft.Worth, which is one of my longer runs as of late. I had expected to be routed home. I decided, after the latest brew-haha with my A/M that I would just revert back to being just an RDO-21 driver and quit spending so much time making these people rich. But, I didn't ##### about a 1900 mile run since I didn't confirm that my rdo had been set back to normal until after it was preplanned...so I'll just be out a couple extra days.

Saw this weeks propaganda video...I guess they over did it on the new opti-idle changes and what the truck thinks is 70° isn't cold enough, so they have to rewrite the update so they have temporarily stopped screwing peoples trucks up...maybe they should take the sensor out of the back side of the closet, and secure it in the closet...since the duct in the closet isn't insulated, my clothes stay cooler than I do.

Trust me, on my ‘22 Junkliner, the sensor is in the same place and my clothes sleep nice and comfortably cool too.xlsdraw, JoeyJunk, nredfor88 and 1 other person Thank this.

Sounds like a nice place to hang upside down. Strangely, the living woefully underestimate the relaxation to be had by changing into a bat and hanging upside down in a closet.dwells40, JoeyJunk, Gearjammin' Penguin and 3 others Thank this.

So, uhm...
...you're sometimes "in" the closet, and sometimes "out" of the closet??

I may go back in the closet since it seems to be cooler in there...but I either need to get a bigger closet, or go on a really slimming diet..

Maybe that's why they want us to open the closet door when the opti-idle is on...it isn't to make the sensor work better, it's to release all the trapped cold air being wasted keeping our clothes chilled...xlsdraw, JohnBoy, newbietrucker91 and 1 other person Thank this.
