Again I hate the snow. Had ice build up on one of my headlights, and me in all my wisdom decided to break the ice off with a hard object. Let's just say I'm without a plastic over for my headlights now and don't know how it will fair with all this snow getting into the light fixtures. Been driving a few days like this and now the lights have dimmed slightly in that fixture. Don't think loves or ta sell covers that I can put on myself and its currently not considered a breakdown item, till the lights go out completely, so have to wait till I get near a company shop location and pray they have the part in stock. 20211215_005628.jpg

Clear packing tape will slow the water intrusion. Won't help with visibility, but it might help keep the lights on so Mr. DOT doesn't want to have a chat and a fixit award.

I’ve never seen a replacement cover for those. You may have to buy the whole assembly$$$. Hope you can find one.

If you would’ve just turned your brights on for a few minutes, it would’ve melted the ice. That’s what I do when mine are frosted over with a coat of ice.

The heat comes from the pissed off drivers across from you while you sit there with your brights on!

There’s no one in front of me where I park (5 mins from my house). :)

Although, I do recall this raccoon giving me the evil eye one morning. I even mentioned it to Big Maude. “Get a load of the coon Big Maude.”, I said. “He got beef with you eyeballing him with your lights I bet. Want me to heave a can of corn at him?”, replied Big Maude.

High winds advisory for Nebreaska, Iowa, and Colorado today. Be careful if in said areas.
