Actually, they waited until Butthead went home before doing this...it was a planner that did it. Butthead came in at 5 this morning and I was greeted with "why can't you pick this up, it can pick up as late as 1/1 12:00"...which wasn't what was on the pplan. The preplan said 12/31 0001-2359.

As far as sitting in the snow...if the road was open and I had some weight in the trailer, I'd hang iron and haul ### rather than sit for days...but that's me.

Dropped and hooked at Wally in Searcy, and the only empty we had was left running, with the doors open until it ran out of fuel. Thank you Walmart!!!! (F-tards)

One of the driving factors that motivated me to start pulling tanks about a decade ago. I still cringe when I drive by one of their POS distribution centers.

We do have an account here at my company that pulls a reefer. They haul gas cylinders that are transported at 0 degrees. Getting one of those started after running dry can be no easy task at times.

Well, according to the Walmart gate, it was either brought in running or someone is messing with us because it's a dry warehouse and the yard jockeies are not allowed to touch the units. So I may have inadvertently thrown Walmart under the bus.

They probably deserve it anyway, if not for that, then something else.

I was simply responding to Lonesome regarding quad pay. Whatever that is? And as for switching jobs, I completely agree with you. I hope it's gets better for you.

I'm not bragging, I'm voicing my opinion. Do I have a good career, yes I do. The OTR segment of our industry stinks on ice regarding pay, benefits and retirement!! I firmly believe that OTR drivers should be paid a lot more than me for their troubles. Sadly, that's not going to happen. Unfortunately, we only have ourselves to blame.

To quote Yogi Berra "it's deja vu all over again". After I got that trailer fueled and fired up, I got a "can you help us out" load. Had to bust butt to get the trailer washed out then get to Russellville to pick up a short load. Made it with 15 min to spare, got loaded and back to the Pilot 2 miles away. It's going to Mclane in Memphis, but no appointment set. So, like earlier this week started, I am waiting for an appointment. And because it's the holiday, nobody is answering.

Lonesome, Speed_Drums and dwells40 Thank this.
