Problem is..welcome to America home of the lazy and incompetent…unfortunately it doesn’t appear to be getting better especially with this younger generation coming out..it’s just not trucking…if people would simply use more common sense than read off a computer screen like a robot, society might get better but I’m not holding my breath…sad state of affairs anymore..

Case in point. I am delivering, or should I say attempting to deliver a half a trailer of ice cream packaging to the Sikeston plant. They don't receive this at the plant, they redirected me to an alternate warehouse south of town. I get to the warehouse and nobody is there. But there is a phone number on the door to call...which is constantly busy, so I call the number on the directions they provided...and it rings so long that it just stops ringing. And I am on anothet load that I have to pick up before noon today that has to deliver by 10 am tomorrow. This is a typical load for me here....1 load in 5 or 6 goes without an issue that costs me productivity. I have NEVER worked for a company with that kind of track record.Knucklehead, Itsbrokeagain, Speed_Drums and 5 others Thank this. -

“What? No one told me I had anything coming.. ok I try to get there it’ll be about an hour”. Which always turns into 2, and then they have no means of getting it unloaded. So it’d get brought back to get assigned to a lift gate only to go thru the whole thing again in 2 days. And it was always something I couldn’t move or work around. Like a giant swing set or some big farm implement banded to like 3 pallets. You are a more patient man than I, kudos to you.

Angry Driver is the guy who doesn't check to see if there is a pallet jack on the trailer and then blames the dock workers when he has to go back to the yard.
Angry Driver is the guy who spends 15 minutes yelling at the secretary for the TM being at lunch when he tried to make the OSD call.
Angry Driver is the guy who doesn't seem to understand that after hours Ops can't reschedule appointments because the customer isn't open, then yells at the poor schmuck on the other end of the phone.
Angry Driver is the guy who constantly takes it on the chin, but refuses to keep his gloves up.
Some days you're the windshield, and some days you're the bug. Everyone has days that other people's screwups become their problem. The question is how do you deal with it? Do you flip your lid and take petty revenge that does nothing but make you feel a little better?Gearjammin' Penguin, nredfor88, MACK E-6 and 4 others Thank this. -
