Good reason to check fifth wheel before any and every time you put it in drive to leave. I’ve gotten into that habit no matter how little time I’m away from my truck. Hell, even if I’m in the sleeper for a 30, I’ll check before driving off. Seen a trailer on the ground myself once at TA.

 

Or put tension on the 5th wheel so no one can pull it.
