I’ve got to hand it to Snackbar, he’s put up with this bs months longer than I figured he would. But the choices out there now probably won’t be any better. All of the larger carriers are going to all the nanny crap he’s dealing with now. But not being able to idle to stay warm or dealing with the fueling bs would drive away most good drivers.

Quite correct! I would never dress in such a manner as to diminish one’s first impressions of me.

Always! I got in the habit so long ago. Park, set trailer brakes, pull tight forward and rest in peace about anyone pulling pin

Do to the whole seat issue I was not able to arrive ontime. Took loves 6 hours to repair my seat cause they had to drive out and get the part so had no hours to continue.

Again bad night dispatch says to just go in when I have time cause place 24/7 and will take work ins. We'll I get there and what a surprise they aren't taking people without appointments at the moment.

So they have me run load to our wilmar yard and drop it. Have a preload sitting here that drops up in Nashville tomorrow.

Also trying to figure out the extra miles I was paid on this load. Original load plan had ~1800 loaded miles listed and it's only 50 miles extra to drop this at our yard yet t-call msg says I was paid for 2050 loaded miles.

I'm not complaining but wondering where that extra 200 miles came from.

On the shaffer air ride trailers, you would have to wait until the bags deflate first(which sometimes doesn't happen fast), then pull it tight and set the truck brakes. Otherwise, as the airbags deflate, the geometry of the suspension dropping pushes forward into your 5th wheel.

It's obvious to me now that the so called 'wellness check' automated Peoplenet message, that butthead said couldn't be turned off, is either, not automated, or can be turned off. Over the last couple weeks I have had multiple times where I took a break more than 12 hrs long, and no beep. So, either they don't care if I croak out here, or they figured they don't want to poke the bear.

That whole wellness message was fake anyway. They don't have enough drivers dying out here in their sleep to justify having it. It's just a way of saying ''we noticed your lazy butt isn't moving, you need to get rolling"...without saying it that way..so they make it seem as though they care about you being alive.

i was in Idaho a month or two ago, taking a 34. I just ignored those wellness checks and about 25 hours into my 34 someone called me seeing why I haven’t moved or said anything. Thing is all right when I started the 34 I let them know on the peoplenet. I’ve noticed that a lot around here. They do not read previous messages.
