There's a button to disable the lane departure but it only does it for about 15 minutes. The others can be turned off too, and stay off until the next key off, if that feature is enabled as allowed.

No such vehicle at this nanny habitat. My choice is, a Cascadia or the grey dog home. All their trucks have this ########. Besides, I have $500k in life insurance...

it's not just the video game sound effects that cause me issues. It's this retarded transmission that pisses me off. Grossing 79,200, it can't wind out 11th, going 46 mph, it decides to try 12th, 3 seconds later it drops to 10th, then back to 11th...meanwhile, I have lost speed, so now it's lugging in 11th, so it drops to 10th again. If I force it to a different gear, it shifts, hesitate in that gear a second or two then switches back to the gear it chose...we fight over gears all day long...then, if someone cuts in front of you, at 25', it does nothing, you back off, they accelerate, then at 200', it starts #####ing at you. If you use low jake and not your service brakes, it slams it down two gears and puts itself on high jake. I am gonna stop using the jake entirely and use service brakes only...in traffic, down hills, wherever. What do I care, I don't pay for the parts or the insurance if I overheat the brakes and burn the ##### to the ground. Yesterday, while talking to my wife, a truck at 302' was causing it to bleep, drop to 10th and throw on high jakes. If it were a stationary object at that distance I could see it, but a moving vehicle at 300' is more than adequate following distance. Even at 80k lbs, it won't take me 302' more stopping distance then the guy I am following.

Lane departure yes, all other systems are locked, including the side radar that picks up guard rails on the other side of the grass next to the shoulder, from the middle lane.

I wish my auto shifted half as smooth as an mDrive. This thing is gonna rip the drive line apart before it's due for trade. I did some experimenting today to see if I could make it shift smoother. After a brief stop in a rest area, where I didn't shut off the truck, when pulling out, going down the entrance ramp, I just hit resume on the cruise and let it shift without me touching the throttle...it felt like I was on one of those multi-engine tractors at a tractor pull, and it was trying to lift the front left wheel off the ground. There is nothing smooth about these Freightliner auto transmission.

I have 1/4 foam insulation over my front speakers and it's still too loud. I bought a roll of cork gasket material that I am going to add as extra sound proofing.

I often refer to them as driver distraction devices...now there are different tones than before, including a new tone from the Peoplenet's Co-pilot app that goes off once you break the speed limit...once I figured out where that noise was coming from, I turned the sound all the way down so I don't even hear any message notifications.

I take it you don’t have a manual override button?

On a positive note, my little amber engine shaped nightlight finally went out. It first came on last Friday. Not sure when exactly it went out, but it was on this morning when I left the truckstop, and I noticed it was out when I came back from my shower in Wytheville...maybe grossing 79k going up Fancy Gap generated enough heat to burn the soot off the DPF inlet temp sensor.

On another negative note. The Mechanicsburg pump kiosk wouldn't let me put reefer fuel in. Tried the trailer number and the truck number and saying reefer fuel, it kept going back to vehicle number. After enough times trying, it locked me out for the night, so I will just go buy reefer at a truckstop in the morning. After I get empty tomorrow, I head to York to pick up a medical load going to Wally in Grove City. Even with 48+ hours at home, and a 4 hour wait to be loaded yesterday, I will still put more miles in the bank than most of my full weeks at SPD.
