If I were only 15 min slower, I would have gotten to fuel at a 'points generating' fuel stop instead of our Lenoir Terminal. And, I wish I could have done my orientation here...there are 8 brand new KW's sitting here stickered and waiting on drivers.

D.Tibbitt, Lonesome, cdavis188 and 2 others Thank this.

Cut some wires so they put your truck in the shop and ask for the new kw so you can make on time delivery

Friend, D.Tibbitt, hotrod1653 and 3 others Thank this.

Unfortunately the shop went home at 18:30...5 min before I get a message on the ##### box saying my truck is close to being due for a service. I was wondering when it was due.(the app hasn't updated after my return, and the writing has faded on the window sticker). Maybe next time thru. If I deliver this and the pre-planned load, I will be close to 3000 miles by Thursday morning, so I can only hope that I get to drive one at some point.

Snackbar, does Shaffer have fuel solutions telling you where to fuel and how much to fuel?

If so, are you able to get unlimited showers at any of the major chains each month? I couldn't imagine having to figure out which chain I had a shower credit for, that would be very annoying.

Also, didn't you have an APU at your last company? If so, how are you adjusting to the opti idle?

Last, you are running some good miles. What's your CPM pay?

I'm assuming you must be around $0.60 CPM, you having 3,000 mile weeks is good money at that CPM rate. Glad to see you getting back on your feet financially after all the BS you went through the last several months.

Yes to the fuel solution and no to the unlimited showers (kinda).

They're weird here, they seem to rotate what chain we use. One week it'll mostly be Flying Pilot with an occasional T/A-Petro, the next week it'll be T/A-Petro with the occasional Loves's, then Love's with the occasional Flying Pilot. And when I said unlimited showers, kinda, for some reason my Flying Pilot card has had a perpetual 15 showers on it that never disappear. It's been that way since my last tour of duty at Shaffer, so I can always shower at a Flying Pilot.

As for opti-idle, I used to be more sensitive to it, but this time it isn't bothering me as much as it used to. I do miss my Carrier APU's generator. This truck has a 1500 watt inverter, but my air fryer is 1350, and I haven't been adventurous enough to see if it will handle it. I was tempted to go into the terminal yesterday with my air fryer and cook a bunch of food ahead of time, but after a washer malfunction where I had to wash one load a 2nd time, I just wanted to go to sleep once I got done, so I didn't. I neglected to bring my mini George Forman, which will be on my truck after the next visit home.

I am making the max starting pay of $0.66/mile now. I was making $0.73 before I left 3 years ago(that went down $0.02/mile not long after I left when they stopped paying a "surge bonus"). I was making $0.57 + $0.10 perdiem at SPD, So there is a slight difference in weekly gross, but it isn't much since I am getting miles here compared to babysitting a truck at SPD. And here, for the most part, I am pre-planned on my next load before I arrive at my delivery, so it makes planning my days easier. At SPD, they wouldn't send you your next load until you sent in paperwork from this load. Occasionally my dispatcher would send my load info via email so I could see what I was doing, but it didn't always have all the info like when it was sent over the Sam-crappa.
