Crete has a deal set up where we have shower power continuously so we always have showers available at pfj

My air fryer pulls 1600-1650 from the outlet. 2000 watt inverter. It tends to throw up an overheat warning when i use it so i’ve resorted to running my air fryer straight off my APU

I wish I had an apu again. I was tempted to go inside yesterday and use some of Crete's electricity cooking some burgers in it, but after having to wash 1 load of clothes twice, I honestly didn't feel like it. I have a 2 burger Foreman at home, and a heavy duty extension cord so I can fry my food outdoors. I am also thinking about a small propane grill while it's nice weather, except we only have one sidebox on these trucks, and mine is about 1/2 full. ####### Freightliner put the factory installed inverter in the only sidebox that has a door instead of on the opposite side where most of the outlets are pre wired...they make remote switches so you wouldn't even have to open the bunk to turn it off....but noooooo, let's take up some valuable accessable space...just like the hanging closet...where they ran the HVAC ducts in the back of it so normal hangers won't fit unless they're at an angle..

Are they getting them with Paccar motors or Cummins?

and here I was thinking all along that they had a glitch and I was special...dang, you mean I'm just like everyone else? :(

I was at a Loves for a blown tire.
You get in line, and they don’t sign you up until you’re in the bay.
I waited for 2.5 hours while some yahoo was waiting in the bay for approval.
I gave up and drove to a Petro where I wait once again.

Friend, Knucklehead and Lonesome Thank this.

I've been paying attention to those certified clean idle stickers on trucks. I've been seeing a lot of T680's and 579's with Cummins power vs Paccar power

    Friend Thanks this.

Paccar engines are garbage..they have too many emissions issues that work their way onto other issues in the engine…I had one in 2020 and it cost me almost $21k in repairs not counting lost revenue

I've read that KW is making it tougher to order trucks without a Paccar engine, limiting assembly slots for trucks ordered with Cummins engines and/or non-paccar transmissions.
