I know some people in the office might get aggravated about you going over their head, but the fact of the matter is if they would do their job properly and keep the drivers productive that wanna be highly productive keep them running that way they wouldn’t have the need to go over them.. I know for a fact that they’ve got some drivers over here that literally will not drive more than 350 miles a day. I’ve run across a Shaffer driver and a Crete driver and they both said that, but there’s many drivers in this company that wanna run and those of us that wanna run should be allowed to run the way we wanna run they’ve got the Freight to do it and stop coddling these part-time drivers as I wanna call them. Let them go find a work somewhere else

I often wonder if they don’t know how to manage true OTR drivers like yourself, that don’t need to be home every few weeks, and know how to manage long lengths of haul. @supersnackbar you're a dying breed being managed by a new breed that has no clue what you or trucking used to be, this doesn’t make it right, but I honestly believe there’s some truth in it. Safe travels.

I have zero desire to be like him and spend as long as he does on the road. Theoretically if i spent 3 months on the road, I'm taking 2.5 weeks off MINIMUM.

Personally I can only spend 3-3.5 weeks in a truck before I start going insane. The last time I spent a full calendar month on the road, I wanted to kill someone at the end

Their one of the few companies that run an air ride van fleet then. Even Walmart runs spring ride vans.
