Close to half of the companies out there have these stupid cameras now. They love them. But I don't think SRT is one of them. So at least they have that going for them.

    Travis Simpson Thanks this.

Thank you all for your input! Had no idea that companies were adding driver-facing cameras. What purpose does that really serve? I don't see what good it'll do them honestly. Maybe installing them ONLY when a driver is showing poor performance etc. But as others mentioned, maybe in that thread link, it ruins the whole purpose of the freedom of driving. I don't like the idea of having someone watching over me 24/7. It's a bit creepy and pretty annoying. Since SRT seems to be doing it on only some of their vehicles, I will hope to be lucky enough to not be in a vehicle that has one. That is disheartening.

It actually brings me to the horrible ethics it can bring, in seeing this done at a pizza joint that just opened here. They have cameras watching their employees to the point one day I walked in and the girl was on the phone with the boss telling her "You need to stop doing this and that one needs to go do that" etc. It seems so unprofessional.

Well, I intend to get my CDL Permit this week, so whether it is with SRT or some other company I think I will take the leap and get in to trucking!

    Thank you all again!

Yes, go for it. In a few months you can change companies if you wish. Main thing right now is to get started. Take care and drive safely.

Ga Dawg141 and Travis Simpson Thank this.
