I was on a run and the nav system told me to turn right which put me on a dead end street leading me into a public park parking lot without the ability to make a clean turnaround an I ended up jacknifed and stuck needing help to get out. As a result, I was fired and they are releasing this to potential employers. How do I keep this confidential?

So you want everyone to think you can drive but post on a public board that you really can't drive? Good luck!
Starboyjim, MachoCyclone, runion25 and 18 others Thank this. -
For others in this situation,
get help,
even if you have to call the police.
OP,
find a small outfit, they may give you a second chance.NavigatorWife, Giuseppe Ventolucci, Grijon and 7 others Thank this. -
When will people learn that YOU are the one driving the vehicle, NOT the GPS or navigation system? If it's telling you to turn, it is your job to look the situation over and make the decision as to whether or not it is a turn you ought to be making. Once you realized your mistake, it was your responsibility to get the truck and trailer back on course without tearing anything up. You didn't. Instead you demonstrated a lack of understanding on just what sort of space you need to maneuver your rig. You also showed poor decision making skills in attempting a u-turn with insufficient space, as well as a failure to pay attention when you allowed the truck and trailer to jackknife.
You aren't going to be able to keep this confidential. If you didn't want it on your record, you shouldn't have done it.88 Alpha, MachoCyclone, MayhemTrucking and 27 others Thank this. -
Swift stabbed you in the back? How? They didn't twist your arm and make you jackknife that truck. And now you're looking to cover up this whole situation? You need to learn to take some responsibility for your actions.

I've had two deliveries that required me to back up out of an alley onto the main road. Flag down a four wheeler or two and get them to help you stop traffic and honk if anyone's doing anything stupid. It's stressful but you gotta do it.
Why did you try to turn around?
Instead of hiding this id disclose it beforehand. And if this U-turn was as bad as that infamous USA Trucks from YouTube that would probably count as an accident.
Swift didn't really stab you in the back though you kind of followed bad directions. You can't blame the GPS.TruckDuo and Sneakerfix Thank this. -
Very true, but I'm not surprised given the sorry excuse for training that these mega companies have. GPS might be great, but it's not a good replacement for trip-planning skills, and some good old fashioned map-reading ability. I've seen for myself what a bunch of garbage the "opti-stop" navigation software is that these big companies use, and that the "truck" GPS units made by rand McNally, Garmin, and others are only tools, not a replacement for common sense.
NavigatorWife, White_Knuckle_Newbie, misterG and 1 other person Thank this. -

For someone who stated "I have had enough education..... I've known several people with advanced degrees, yet so little intelligence, it is insulting to the box of rocks...." you should use it once in awhile and realize a GPS is a tool that you need to use common sense along with it.
