Yes. I have always been more of a tortoise than a hare. I also understand that you think I'm doing it wrong. That's fine. You can certainly have any opinion you want, even if I don't agree with you.

Just a bit of a quality of life note for folks who want to eat reasonably healthy on the road.

These sandwiches are 490 calories each. Ham and Swiss on 9-grain bread. No veggies or sauces or mayo or anything wet to make the sandwich become nasty in a short time.

I find them quite good, and have been eating quite a few of them. I can eat one for a meal and feel reasonably full, and eating a couple apples or a cup of cut melons doesn't make the meal too many calories.

I do not put mayo or mustard on them, I don't like goop on my sandwiches, but nobody stops you folks from keeping a squeeze or two of condiments on the truck to make the sandwich better for you.

There are other sandwiches of the same size, from the same company, but none appeal to me, so I have not looked at calories.

Yet another death due to Covid-19.

The Frog City truck stop Cajun restaurant in Rayne, LA is permanently closed.

So many small businesses, especially restaurants, have been victims of the idiocy of our reaction to this hyped-up flu.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame Covid-19 for the restaurant's failure. Maybe they were running the restaurant's version of "less pay, more miles" and Covid was the breakdown they couldn't afford to repair.

Plenty of other restaurants are surviving this.

Probably gonna be a lot more with the new restrictions and lockdowns.

I don't know how you can say it's hyped up though.

I can say it's hyped up because Covid-19 is only marginally more dangerous than the swine flu a couple decades ago. Yes. Some people have bad reactions to Covid. Some people also have bad reactions to peanuts.

For the vast majority of people, Covid-19 is a sniffle or two, and a couple days of stomach problems. The same groups of people are at higher risk of Covid issues as would be at risk of Flu issues. Elderly, very young, and people with otherwise weak immune system issues.

At this point, with it popping up over and over again, it seems likely that Covid is with us forever. Just like the common cold. It is the same virus family, after all.

Are we going to hide away forever, or get over this and move forward as best we can?

We are going in lockdown in January for 4-6 weeks. They’ve already started talking about it.

Not until after Jan 20, unless you live in a communist state.

Isn't it marvelous though, that the new bosses know already what the situation will be more than two months ahead of time? It fills me with warmth and confidence. Now if they'd just share February's lottery numbers that would really make me happy.

Hopefully enough fraud will be found and we won’t have to worry about that. But I’m not gonna hold my breath.
